On Sunday, January 12th, the Cardinals headed to Silver Lake, Wisconsin to take on the Lakers of Silver Lake College. Despite great defensive efforts by the home team the Cardinals were able to take the win on the road, 73-60.

The Cardinals started out shooting hot in the first half and took an early 16-4 lead in the first 8 min. The Cardinals extended their lead to 18 points with 3:00 remaining on the clock through great defense. The Lakers would narrow the gap to 11, making the score 44-33 before the half ended.

The Cardinals continued their excellence performance in the second half by putting the first points of the half on the board. Through great defense the Cardinals were able to extend their lead to as much as 22 points making it difficult for the Lakers to come back. The Cardinals defense would prove to be too much for the Lakers to overcome and the Cardinals would go home with the win, 73-60.

The Cardinals had three players score in double digits. Tyler Wooldridge put up 27 points. Junior Orelus added 18 points. Matthew Little chipped in 15 points.

The Cardinals will head to Gary, IN on Tuesday where they will take on the RedHawks of Indiana University Northwest at 8:30pm.
